Zimbabwe fundraiser

The first local fundraiser was a pop-up sale held at Avondale Flea Market on 29 February 2020. On sale were pre-loved clothes, shoes and household items and in addition, people could donate directly to ITAI in cash and kind. This event was well-attended by the local team who contributed to inventory and took turns operating the stall, and successful in terms of sales, donations and public engagement. We were pleased to have support from vendors who – even though we were competitors – helped us sell our items and also bought some stock. With the few remaining items it’s possible that we will host a similar event in the near future.
