The first local fundraiser was a pop-up sale held at Avondale Flea Market on 29 February 2020. On sale were pre-loved clothes, shoes and household items and in addition, people could donate directly to ITAI in cash and kind. This event was well-attended by the local team who contributed to inventory and took turns operating the stall, and successful in terms of sales, donations and public engagement. We were pleased to have support from vendors who \u2013 even though we were competitors \u2013 helped us sell our items and also bought some stock.
